The Cellar of Chantecôtes

In the heart of Southern “Côtes-du-Rhône”!

The history of Saint Cécile's vineyards, property named, is very ancient. Their origin goes back up to the prehistory. In 1794, it was called Cécile the mountain dweller and it is in 1920 when it took its new name of “Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes”. Only village in “Vaucluse” to celebrate the stock, just return of things because its wines count among the most renowned of the area.

In 1927, the cellar of wine making is created. For its fiftieth anniversary, the Wine growers decided to baptize it Cécilia.

To "Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes", Men and Women, fascinated, knew how to over the years shape high-quality wines. To promote and market directly wines of the Cellar Cécilia, the vault “Chantecôtes” was created in 1972. Since, the fame of the vault “Chantecôtes” has never stopped growing.

The country of “Chantecôtes” is situated in the heart of the vineyard of the Southern “Côte-du-Rhône”, ideally placed in the North of that of “Châteauneuf-du-Pape” on the municipalities of “Saint-Cécile” and “Lagarde Paréol”. The climate is very dry and the often present mistral. On a multiple ground “argilo-limestones” with an ascendancy of marls on which rolled pebbles rest and lauzes, the old vineyards in tumblers can bloom.

The grape harvests are largely manual and guarantee a first determining sorting and certain respect for the environment. Our tool of very sophisticated work allows elaborating quality wines, in the typical of great wines of the Rhône Valley.
