Dessert - seasoned confites Pears


  • 2 kg of firm pears
  • 1 kg of lump sugar
  • 2 freshly squeezed lemon juices
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 pod of vanilla
  • 1 staff of cinnamon
  • 1 piece of ginger


  • Pick pears carefully and make regular small strips of every quarter
  • In a bowl, put a coat of pear, some sugar, a bit lemon
  • Do again successive coats and leave expenses in one night
  • The following day, in an anti-sticky saucepan, to cook pears with spices and pod of cracked vanilla
  • to Bring to the boil fast.
  • If necessary, add 2 tablespoonfuls water
  • To lower fire after boiling and to make stew 30 minutes
  • pears must be translucent, as confites
  • Put in glass pots and let get cold before to recouvruir from paper to preserve


  • In breakfast, these pears are delightful on some grilled bread spread with butter
  • You can also accompanied these pears seasoned with an edge of roast of calf or cold pork
